Shalaka Kulkarni is a global brand and corporate communications professional, award winning author and TEDx speaker. She has a Masters in Marketing and super-specialization in Neuromarketing. She is a Women Disruptors 2021 awardee (Employer Branding), currently managing global corporate and employer branding at Microland. 


Shalaka has been associated with global brands like McDonald’s, Salesforce, HPE, Hindustan Unilever, VMWare, Kantar, Brillio, etc. She was in the top 3 of India for LinkedIn Get a Job Season 2. 


Shalaka's TEDx was entitled - "Trusting the process”. She has been invited by Symbiosis International University to deliver talks on creative thinking, and neuromarketing. She has been a speaker at multiple forums like – Pepper Content, Leap Club, Mentza, SalesWomentoring, The Guiding Voice, and umpteen. 


She has been passionate about storytelling since 8, and her first book Orenda stands taller as a milestone, starting her literary journey as an author. It received appreciation from the Sahitya Akademi award winning author, Namita Gokhale and the foreword is written by Indian filmmaker, Manish Mundra. 


Orenda won “Book of the year - Reader’s Choice” at Kavishala Book Awards 2021 and was listed on #1 on Amazon Kindle under the short stories section. She was invited as a speaker at Jaipur Literature Festival, Bangalore Lit fest, Pune International Lit Fest and Orange City Lit Fest. 


Kulkarni strongly believes in the spirit of giving back - has extensively worked with the underserved communities in India. Has been recognized for being an impactful volunteer 4 times at Brillio. Her 2020 painting fundraiser was covered by Times of India.
