Also, you don't have to follow ALL the steps to become more productive, just the ones that work. For example, if you find your to-do list growing too long and are not doing anything during your commute, you can optimize for time during the commute - just one step out of all.

Also, I completely agree with your seven-days-over-five-plus-break approach. But, there might be tasks that won't burn you out often. Maybe they only burn you out to the extent that the break you take consists of only two days a month.
